American pocket watch brands?
What are some good brands of American pocket watches, the boy did not end with the batteries. Am looking for something that is modern, not old.
The last pocket watch American made Hamilton was the 992B, which officially ended production in December 1969 (although some of them were collected from the remaining shares in 1970.) So if you want something new, either mechanical or quartz, the Swiss is their only option. If you want an American name, and do not care about the commercial origin, the modern Hamilton makes a decent model based on the ETA 6498, a Swiss movement high quality achieved. I'm not sure what your resistance is antique clocks, however. Almost all 5-10 years Elgin, Waltham, Illinois Hamilton, South Bend, or any other manufacturers are accurate, reliable, easy and cheap to fix if something happens to it.
